Since its arrival 300.000 years ago there hasn’t been a single species that has had such a profound impact on its environment than the Homo Sapiens. Leaving behind traces that have become over time eccentric markers in which the hand of mankind is clearly visible. The title ‘Above the treetops’ refers to the birds point of view or perspective. Allowing the viewer on first glance to take in the landscape without necessarily being part of it. As an outsider observing how people continue to make a sudden imprint on the environment they inhabit. And unconsciously reveal their relation with the outside world through their posture, actions and expressions.
